NALSAR for Migrant Workers

A fundraiser by NALSAR alumni and current students to provide transportation, food and medical supplies to stranded migrant workers all over India.

NALSAR alumni and students have come together to raise funds for ongoing relief efforts to help migrant workers stranded across the country. This unprecedented crisis has caused several millions of workers to put their lives at risk to reach home. The collective, NALSAR for Migrant Workers, is collaborating with government, transport service providers and civil society to ensure that workers are able to safely reach their homes, and can have  access to food and medical supplies.

The collective is involved in relief efforts in and around Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore and many other areas where requests for assistance have come in from – Asind (Rajasthan),Palakkad (Kerala), and Karimnagar (Telangana), amongst others, to ensure that migrant workers are supported and able to get back to their homes if they so wish.

The details of relief efforts that have been undertaken thus far are available here (hyperlink to website).
