Justice Mukul Mudgal started his practice as an advocate in the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court in 1973. In 1998, he was appointed as a Judge in the Delhi High Court. He then went on to become the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court in 2009, after which he retired in 2011. Currently, he is a member of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), Geneva. In addition, in 2014 the Supreme Court appointed him to investigate allegations of spot-fixing, corruption and betting in the hugely popular 2013 Indian Premier League cricket matches. Another sport Justice Mudgal is involved with is football – FIFA has appointed him as the Deputy Chairman of its Governance Committee.
