Prof.(Dr.) K.V.S.Sarma is Professor of Law at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. He obtained M.L., degree from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and obtained Rao Saheb Venkaiah Gold Medal for securing highest marks in LL.M. He obtained his Ph.D from Berhampur University in the year 2000. He enrolled himself as an Advocate on 11-11-1983 in the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad. He is Head, Centre for Corporate Law and Governance and Centre for Disaster Management of Law.
He is also Member of Planning Board, General Council and Academic Council of NALSAR. He is also Convenor of Post Graduate Committee of NALSAR. He is also Convenor, Implementation Committee from 2008 to 2011. He worked as Registrar of NALSAR from 17-07-2008 to 26-07-2011.
He is a Visiting Faculty for International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, Hyderabad; Administrative Staff College, Hyderabad; National Academy of Direct Taxes, Nagpur; National Academy of Construction; Institute of Insurance and Risk Management, Hyderabad; Central University, Hyderabad; A.P.Judicial Academy, Hyderabad.
He is also Subject Expert for selecting Professors of Law of Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University, Chennai; NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad; Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak; Gujarat National Law University, Gandhi Nagar; Sambalpur University, Burla.
He is a Member of Advisory Council, National Academy of Construction, Hyderabad; PG Diploma in Cyber Laws and IPR, Central University, Hyderabad; Contractors Development Institute, Hyderabad;
Recently he is nominated as a Member of the Advisory Committee, Dr.Aram Learning Centre, a constituent of National Council of Rural Institutes (MHRD) and also a Member of NIMS Institutional Ethics Committee. He authored (1) “Modern law and Insurance in India”, for which Foreword was given by N.A.Palkhiwala, published by Lexis Nexis, Butterworths (India) Ltd.,(2) ‘Criminal Law’ for which Foreword was given by Justice Jeevan Reddy, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India and Chairman, Law Commission of India.
He has also authored five monographs namely, (a) Insolvency Law (b) Insurance Law (c) Legal Theory (d) Criminal Procedure Code and (e) Evidence.
