Prof.(Dr.) K.V.S.Sarma graduated B.Com., from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi in the year 1980, B.L., degree from Sri Krishna Devaraya University, Anantapur in the year 1983 and obtained M.L., degree from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam in the year 1989. He scored highest marks in LL.M. and obtained Rao Saheb Venkaiah Gold Medal from Andhra University. He obtained his Ph.D from Berhampur University in the year 2000. The topic of Ph.D is “A Critical appraisal on Consumer Protection Act, 1986 : A Socio-Legal Study”. He enrolled himself as an Advocate on 11-11-1983 in the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad. He practiced for three years from 1983 to 1986 in Visakhapatnam Courts, Andhra Pradesh. He started his teaching career on 17th April, 1989 and worked in Maharaja College, Vizianagaram, NVP Law College, Visakhapatnam and Padala Rami Reddy Law College, Hyderabad. He was a Resource Person for LL.M students of Annamalai University, Osmania University and Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.
He joined in NALSAR as Assistant Professor of Law on 01-04-1999. Presently he is working as Professor of Law and Registrar NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. He is a Member in Finance Committee, Academic Council, Executive Council and General Council of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. He was Convenor, Examination Comiittee. He is also Convenor of Post Graduate Committee and Post Graduate Research Committee of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. He is also a Member of the Planning Board of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.

He has authored two books along with Prof.K.S.N.Murthy namely, (1) ‘Modern Law and Insurance in India’ the Foreword was given by N.A.Palkhiwala and Published by Lexis Nexis, Butterworths (India) Ltd., Hyderabad and
(2) ‘Criminal Law’ the Foreword was given by Justice Jeevan Reddy, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India and Chairman, Law Commission of India.
He has also authored five monographs namely, (a) Insolvency Law (b) Insurance Law (c) Legal Theory (d) Criminal Procedure Code and (e) Evidence.
He has published several articles in the leading Law Journals.
