Dr. Aruna B. Venkat’s field of specialization is Environmental Law which she has been teaching for sometime. She has done her doctoral research in the same area, focusing on “Environmental Protection through Judicial Process : Indian Perspective” and obtained her Ph.D. degree from the Delhi University where she pursued her University education. Before she joined NALSAR University, she was the founder member of the Faculty of the Amity Law School, Delhi, affiliated to Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi, where she worked for more than five years. Besides teaching various subjects at the B.A., LL.B. (Hons) level, Dr. Aruna guided several research students for their post-graduate degrees.
She has published quite a few research papers in reputed national law journals.
She is presently engaged in updating her Ph.D. thesis for its publication in a book form which has been strongly recommended by its examiners.
