Research Associate at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad

NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad invites applications for full-time Research Associate for the project  'Making the Invisible Visible in Law Practice and Legal Education' funded by the United Nations Population Fund (October 2023-December 2024).

About the Project

Despite its all-pervasive presence in everyday interaction, a lot of the exclusion experienced through gender remains invisible. This is especially true for those sections of society who are on the margins of even the excluded population. It is this segment of society whose concerns need highlighting. While pressing for the human rights of all, the project seeks to draw attention to these silenced minorities.

The Project aims to look at the following:

  • Reviewing of legal curricula (with a particular focus on select mandatory courses) for integration of gender equality and human rights perspectives.
  • Envisage discourse-building among young law students on issues related to sexual and reproductive health and rights.
  • Participate in civil society engagement to document the strengths and weaknesses of human rights mechanisms and how they help realize the rights recognized in human rights instruments.
